Salmon etc...

So, here is my 1st truly Pacific Northwest dinner.

It is salmon season and I got some fresh wild sockeye salmon for cheap (about $30 for a 4-5lb fish).

Washington potatoes and local organic veggies.
I even used the herbs from my patio pots.

Wine from Oregon.

Salmon was seasoned with a little sea salt, basil, garlic and lemon and grilled with lots of olive oil.

Veggies were seasoned with Balsamic Vinaigrette. Potatoes had fresh garlic and rosemary. The veggies were also grilled in iron skillets.

I did slightly over-grill the salmon. We like our salmon about medium well. I think about 8 minutes a side would have done it just right instead of 12.

It was soooo good! I was inspired the next day to bake.
It turned out great.
